Vishing … phishing … smishing – smashing!
Smishing is the new BuzzWord this week on Macmillan Dictionary Online. The term, coined in 2006 by David Rayhawk, working for McAfee Inc, describes the criminal activity of sending text messages to people in order to persuade them to give personal information such as credit card details and PINs (personal identification numbers).
