The great city of Liverpool is renowned for many things, including the particular form of English spoken by its inhabitants. In addition to that unmistakeable accent, Liverpudlians – or Scousers as they are more familiarly called – use a large number of words and expressions that are peculiar to the city and its surrounding area.
