Macmillan Dictionary Awards 2011

Macmillan Dictionary Love English Awards – update 3

It’s good to see the number of nominated blogs and websites growing every day because there are so many fantastic ones out there and we like to see them acknowledged – as do you, I’m sure.

Remember that nominations are open until January 15th, which leaves ten days to ensure that the blogs and sites you love are in the competition.

Who should you nominate? Looking back on the year, which website or blog has been the most useful, entertaining, informative for you in terms of learning English, or improving your English, or just feeding your love of the English language? A Love English Award badge would be a great way for them to begin 2012.

Film English is doing very well in the blog category, with 829 votes to date. Ozge Karaoglu’s Blog follows with 687 and Magic in Education! is next with 299 votes. There are some excellent bloggers on the list – vote for them!

As for the websites, English Club stands out with 658 votes and Visual Thesaurus is next with 225.

A reminder that voting closes on January 31st, and winners will be announced on February 1st.
