A big ‘thank you’ to all who sent in their nominations for the Love English Awards 2013. We received nominations from hundreds of people, telling us which blog and website about the English language they think deserve to win this year’s awards.
Macmillan Dictionary (and this blog) were also nominated (thank you, we’re flattered!), but to keep it fair we won’t include these nominations in the list for voting.
A grand total of 38 blogs and 52 websites were nominated this year. Are you curious who’s been nominated? Keep an eye on Macmillan Dictionary as voting will start next Tuesday!
Voting will continue until 14 February and the winners will be announced on 18 February 2014.
And the prize?
The winning website and blog will receive a Macmillan Dictionary Love English Awards 2013 winner’s badge and £100 worth of Amazon vouchers. The two runners-up in each category will receive a ‘runner-up’ badge.
And remember, on 18 February we’ll also announce the lucky person who has won a Nexus 7 tablet! (The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible nomination entries. For more information, see our Terms and Conditions).
Important dates to remember:
- Voting starts: 21 January 2014
- Voting ends: Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2014
- Winners announced: 18 February 2014
