My father-in-law has a dog called Bruno. He once met a German chap in the park who commented on what a lovely dog my father-in-law had but laughed long and hard when he heard the name - 'in my country, this is not a dog's name, it is the name we give to a man! Ha, ha, ha...' My father-in-law laughed along, before commenting on the handsomeness of the German man's black labrador - 'and what is YOUR dog called?'....'Richard' replied the man. Loving it.
