		<description>Thanks very much for this conversation. Very NICE (in the South African sense) to hear Jean Branford again, reminding us of the liveliness and longevity of South African English. In Sydney I&#039;ve seen an Indonesian retaurant with the word PONDOK in its title, a reminder that the Dutch settled in Indonesia (Batavia) as they did at the Cape.</description>
