I think acquirers of a foreign language will always like to be able to speak it with good grammar and vocabulary and to sound as vernacular as possible. In my opinion, the best course of action is to follow the advice of an old language teacher who said: ” always keep your ears and your eyes open to English”. And I would add: Simple and natural English , or any other foreign language for that matter.
